Inclusion Coordinator: Elke Ihnen, contact: Elke.Ihnen@dslondon.org.uk. She will offer support for pupiles with learning difficulties or those who require additional help. Mrs Ihnen is available for parents, pupils and teachers, please contact her via e-mail. Appointments can be made daily for the tie between 8:30 and 9:15 am via the reception desk.
Pupils with Dyslexia are supported by Anke Burdett, contact Anke.Burdett@dslondon.org.uk, who can be approached by pupils, teachers and parents. Pupils get supoort in small group sessions. Please contact our reception for appointments between 1:00 and 1:45 pm on Mondays.
Educational Psychologist: Dr. Julia Högemann offers advice and support to students with emotional, social and learning difficulties. Pupils are supported directly on a one to one basis or in small groups. Students can also be supported indirectly through their parents and teachers. The German School has a network of external psychologists and other specialists. Appointments are made with them directly. Some of the tests can take place in the German School. The entire treatment will be invoiced in the end. As such tests can take several hours the appointments are carefully scheduled.
Our Safeguarding team, as required by the English school system, is there to make sure that our pupils grow up and learn in a stable, safe environment and get the support they need should this become necessary. For Kindergarten and Pre-School Jutta Hepworth is the contact, for Primary School the teacher to speak to is Kristina.Kleiner and for Secondary School it is Stefanie Haberland.
